Event Description: Visit the studio/galleries of three outstanding Naples artists and learn how fine art is created. Each artist will share their differing, but unique perspective on producing and exhibiting their artwork. Painter and Ceramic artist, Shirley Kelley won awards in S.W. Florida as well as in major national shows. Her varied working materials help viewers understand Shirley's inspirational sources and her technical style. Her work is in numerous private collections. A Sculptor in stone, glass, metal and bronze, Dr. Joel Shapses is a retired dentist, now a full time sculptor. Subjects and styles vary. You will see sculpture combining stone with neon, glass with stone and/or metal. Dr. Shapses will tell you about his varied sources of inspiration. He has received more than 70 awards of recognition and has exhibited and sold his work nationally. Shapses' Studio, Kaledioscope of the Mind, is a wonderland. Painter, Mally Khorasantchi--Mrs. K. has exhibited her work and received numerous awards in juried competitions and solo and invitational exhibitions in the U.S. and Germany. Her work is in many private collections including the Walter Wickiser Gallery, N.Y C. Known primarily as an abstract painter Mrs. K. is inspired by the natural world and human experience. Her media of choice is oil and mixed media. Cost: $25 RSVP by April 6.
