Event Description: UNDER CONSTRUCTION: THE MUSICAL TO DEBUT AT BARBARA B. MANN Show will star Paul Todd & Co. and the audience themselves! Paul Todd & Paul Todd Jr. - in conjunction with Paul Todd Charities, Inc. - present Under Construction: The Musical, an all-new reality-based musical written & directed by Paul Todd & Paul Todd Jr. that will take the audience by storm by placing them in the spotlight! Starring Paul Todd, Paul Todd Jr., Amy Van Wyk, The Saint Agnes Choirs and actors from Ramsey’s Replicas, this show is sure to reinvent the way we view musicals by putting you – the audience – in the performance. The show will follow the story of a waning theatre and the people who run it during a fluke acting strike, where out of desperation, the producers must hold public auditions to find talented individuals (members of the audience) with the makings of a star to help save the theatre and save the show, but they’ve only got two weeks to do it! Proceeds will benefit several charitable organizations in the area. The show will make its debut on April 13th, 2015 at 7:30 PM at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts in Fort Myers, FL, which (if successful) will be followed by a tour of performances throughout the country. Tickets will range from $25-100 depending on seating location. This will be Paul Todd’s third musical endeavor, having written and composed the music to titles such as In Another Lifetime and A Christmas Carol. It will be a whole new take on the world of musicals. I think what’s so enticing about “Under Construction” is that the audience always wants to be a part of show – and this will give them a chance to do just that – by being IN the show. – Paul Todd, Writer/Composer
