Event Description: New devices are a common gift during the holidays, but what should you do with your old devices? Many will donate or sell them online, while others may throw them away. All of these could put your privacy at risk. Learn how to remove your sensitive information prior to disposing of that old device. If you think reformatting will do the trick, think again. There are many websites giving advice on removing sensitive information, but do you know which methods really work? In this workshop, you will examine the data destruction methods as well as resources to confirm that the information has been removed. The information presented will be simple and easy to understand. You do not have to be a tech expert to benefit from this workshop. Cost: $25 per person $20 for members of IFI partners All IFI workshops will be held on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month unless otherwise noted. All workshops will be held at the Hodges University Naples campus located at 2647 Professional Way, Naples, FL 34119. Room number will be provided at the Stock Building front desk.
