Event Description: Cape Coral, FL: The Fall Session of Caloosa Coast Rowing Club (CCRC) Adult Learn to Row is now set for three consecutive weekends in October beginning Saturday, October 7, 2017. Classes will be held at Cape Harbour Saturday and Sunday mornings from 9:30a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The Learn to Row program is for people with little or no prior experience. The cost is $175 and covers six sessions (October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, and 22). CCRC’s rowing programs cater to 13 years old up to 93+ years young. Getting in shape, trying something new, enjoying the outdoors, or meeting new people in the community – whatever the reason, learning about the sport of rowing can be an unforgettable experience and have potential to be a life-long endeavor. CCRC is a key recreational asset for Southwest Florida. Cape Coral was recently rated "the third best place to retire and row” nationwide. We are very proud that our waterways are a valuable community resource for health, community engagement, and appreciation of the environment. Be sure to read all the course information listed below the Learn To Row Registration Bar so that you can come well prepared! Then complete the online registration, fill out the appropriate waiver, and pay for your course. While you're waiting for the first session, take time to read the Rowing Documents in the Learn to Row section of our website; it'll help you grasp the new terminology and concepts more quickly when you encounter them in the course. Bring: sunscreen, sunglasses, socks, and water. The Caloosa Coast Rowing Club (CCRC) at Cape Harbour is a sweep rowing and sculling club, and is open to all members of the community and around the world who are interested in rowing. Directions:
Directions to the Club: We are located on the north side of the harbor at Cape Harbour Marina. Take Chiquita Blvd. south to the intersection at El Dorado Parkway W. At the stop sign you will see the Cape Harbour electronic sign. Make a right turn onto El Dorado Parkway. Take the first left turn onto Cape Harbour Drive. Follow the drive to the end (keeping right), and you will see a grassy field. Drive through the grass and park near the fenced-in boatyard area. Click here for Google Map Directions.
