Event Description: Up until the 20th century, no book with the exception of the Bible has had a wider circulation than “Aesop’s Fables.” Who is not familiar with the sayings, “sour grapes,” “Don’t count your chickens before they are hatched” or “Necessity is the mother of invention?” The stories of “The Fox and the Grapes,” “The Tortoise and the Hare” and “The Boy Who Cried Wolf” are known throughout the world. In this class, we will discuss why these fables are still relevant after 2,500 years and retell some of the most famous, giving them a modern twist while retaining the universal truths that have made them timeless. Presenter: Mary Lou Williams Pricing: $250 Annual membership $125 Seasonal membership $25 Pay Per Program
