    WHAT IS ADVANCED LEADERSHIP CAPE CORAL?
    In this eight-part series, participants will revisit core leadership concepts and tools to help refine their leadership skills in order to maximize business results. Each module in the series will be 3 hours in length, held on Thursday's from 9:00 – 12:00 pm at Cape Coral Technical College. A variety of instructional methods will be utilized, including mini lectures, video, simulation, case studies and facilitated discussion. Each session also includes lunch.

    Develop the Art of Followership
    Learn why effective leadership requires strong followership. Explore strategies for managing up, what followers need from leaders, and how empowerment motivates teams. Discuss new and creative approaches to motivation.

    Leadership DISC Assesment
    Understanding personality and behavior, and how it influences leaders and followers. Participants will complete a DISC assessment and discuss how it relates to their leadership style. We will explore the team life cycle and opportunities to leverage it for success.

    Emotional Intelligence
    Discover how to lead with both logic and empathy by strengthening emotional intelligence. Explore leading with love versus fear and the personal courage it takes to become a moral leader.

    Leadership and Cultural Intelligence  In this session, we will discuss negotiation and leading people who are different than you. Discuss how men and women lead differently.  Learn how to develop cultural intelligence.  Tools to help understand cultural dimensions (Greet Hofstede) Explore how power is different, how it can be leveraged, and how followers view the use of power.

    What Does It Mean to Be a Leader?
    Explore what defines leadership and how it differs from management. Learn how leaders evolve from competitor to collaborator and from controller to facilitator. Review leadership theories, identify personal leadership strengths, and examine how to align strengths with leadership roles.

    Situational Leadership
    Learn about the contingency approach to leadership.  How does situational leadership help leaders manage followers with diversity?  How do attitudes affect leadership and leadership style?  How do you negotiate and lead people who are different from you? 

    Innovative Leadership
    This comprehensive session is designed for business leaders and owners in Southwest Florida, aiming to blend the transformative power of Artificial Intelligence (AI) with the core tenets of effective leadership. 

    Leading Through Crisis
    Learn how to lead through crisis situations such as weather events, public health emergencies, or major organizational change. Explore how to leverage internal and external tools and lead teams through uncertainty with clarity and confidence.
